Finding the right employees is one of the most challenging tasks for businesses. They need to find people who share the same values and work ethic as the company itself. We’re happy to announce that we’ve added someone to our team who meets the requirements that we were looking for. We think you’ll be impressed by their skills. Please help us welcome:
Jagjeet Singh, System Administrator

Our webinar, “Easily Forgotten Cybersecurity Measures That Protect Your Business”, was held in October. We still believe it is something that you should be knowledgeable about so it’s worthwhile to go back and watch or re-watch.
PA State Cybersecurity Coordinator, Derek Mueller, reviews what low-cost, effective cybersecurity practices you have at your fingertips but may have forgotten.

During this past quarter, we’ve been busy enjoying what Pittsburgh offers with great company.
Managing Partners Bill Weisser and Greg Pack attended IT Nation. They were educated on staying current in such a fast-moving tech world. Bill and Greg had a fantastic opportunity to spend time with vendors and explore new products that may be beneficial in the future! This time also brought them back together with peers from all over the country, and continuing to learn the trending best practices from leaders in the industry! A great experience, and they will be back next year!
UPMC/Dr. Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute Fundraiser brought the city of Pittsburgh together to support the Transplant Institute. By supporting their efforts, you will allow them to carry on the tradition of excellence in patient care and research. Our very own Chuck Cooper III and Greg Pack were able to attend and support such a great cause. Chuck and Greg also was able to meet Bob Gruen, photographer for famous rock and roll musicians, at the fundraiser. We can’t wait to support the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute again!
On November 1st, Derek Geissler and Bill Weisser attended the Penguins vs. Bruins game with one of our clients. While Boston trailed 5-3 at the start of the third period, the Bruins scored the last three goals in an overtime win against the Penguins. Maybe next time, our guys will be good luck charms!
Lastly, some fun in the office! We had our company Halloween costume party, and thanks to all the fantastic individuals who followed our social media, our costume contest was a success! It was so much fun seeing everyone’s favorite costume and having some non-related work fun in the office with everyone! Some of the team participated in the “One Chip Challenge,” which did not go over so well for some of them. If you are ever thinking about doing it, talk with Anthony Haley first, and we are sure he will change your mind!

We’ve been busy enjoying what Pittsburgh offers with great company during this past quarter.
We would not miss the opportunity to golf and support a great cause! We were honored to participate in ARL Logistics’ Annual Fundraiser for the American Heart Association Heart Walk at Top Golf. The evening was filled with big swings, big donations, and big laughs.
Speaking of golf, we enjoyed spending time at Pittsburgh’s very own Five Iron Golf, with our trusted networking partners. You need to check it out if you have not been to this place. We had a great time!
Last but not least, our annual PGH Company Picnic was held at Settlers Ridge Park on a beautiful, sunny day. Our team had a chance to meet one another’s families, play cornhole and frisbee, and enjoy delicious tacos from Vegabonds Taco Truck. Our new PGH-designed t-shirts were also unveiled!

One of the challenges that many businesses face is finding the right fit for talent, someone who embodies the same work ethic and values the company is built upon. We have been fortunate to find not one but four new team members that fulfill those requirements and we think you are going to like them as much as we do! [Pictured left to right] Please help us welcome:
Greg Gavin, Senior Voice Engineer
Howard Shacklock, Help Desk Technician
Lauren Suski, Help Desk Technician
Dylan Burns, Help Desk Technician
Continuing education and certification are essential in the IT industry, especially for PGH Networks. We always encourage our team members to keep learning and achieving new certifications because this betters them professionally and provides our clients with assistance from a more knowledgeable IT Expert.
That being said, growth goes hand-in-hand with education, so it is no surprise that as we added new members to our team, some of our existing members grew to a new positions.
Please help us congratulate Andrew, Jeremy, Joe, and Josh on transitioning to new roles! [Pictured left to right]
Andrew Arlick: from Help Desk Technician to Dispatcher
Jeremy Nusser: from Sr. Systems Administrator to Help Desk Team Lead
Joe Hirschmann: from Dispatcher to Procurement Manager
Josh Dorn: from Help Desk Technician to White Glove Technician

For the second consecutive year, we have been named one of Pittsburgh’s Best Places To Work. It is an honor to have received this award, and we take great value in knowing our team members are what made it possible. Thank you to our PGH Team and congratulations to all fellow awardees! “We do not use the term co-worker, but everyone organically calls each other teammates, and that is exactly how the company runs, no matter the role.”- PGH Teammate
The Pittsburgh Penguins also recognized us on February 20th for “Tech Night” at PPG Paints Area. The game ended as a 4-3 loss for the Pens to the Carolina Hurricanes, but we still had a great time celebrating the evening. Thanks, Pens!

2021 has been another interesting year for businesses of all different shapes and sizes. Many businesses that we’ve worked with for many years have recently had to review their technology strategies to support some of the requirements the COVID Pandemic has brought to light. In addition, the level of cyber security requirements for most or all businesses has increased drastically over the last two years.
These systematic changes have not only required other businesses to review but have also required PGH Networks to review our offerings, recommendations, solutions, and people to ensure that we are providing our clients with what may be the most important thing we can, peace of mind, during these uncertain times.
We want to thank all of our clients for working with us during these challenging times. In addition, we would also like to thank our employees for taking on these additional challenges in stride. We are excited for what’s to come in 2022, and we are preparing for a great year!
HALLOWEEN HIGHLIGHTS
We made many great memories in Q4, but one of our favorites has to be our annual Halloween party! Everyone made it a great day by showing up in awesome costumes and getting into character. While all of the costumes were fantastic in their own way, there could only be one winner…
Say Congratulations to…
JESSICA HORNOCK!
Jessica dressed up as the iconic Wednesday Adams and was voted the best dressed by our social media followers! Overall, the party was a success, and we can’t wait for more fun memories this year.
