Director of Helpdesk Service
About Me
Born in New Orleans and raised in Costa Rica, Chris has been a tinkerer for as long as he can remember. As a kid he was playing with his first computer, and before that he was cracking open old TVs and VCRs just to see what was inside. That instinct — to understand how things work, and how to fix them when they don't — became the foundation for a career in service and support.
Chris is a service delivery and IT support leader with more than 15 years of experience across IT support, customer-facing operations, and MSP environments. He's built scalable support organizations from the ground up — strengthening fundamentals, clarifying escalation paths, mentoring future leaders, and putting the right metrics in place so service is predictable and measurable.
His technical roots run deep. Chris started at Apple Retail as a Genius — one of the most recognizable names in consumer tech, where the bar for customer experience is set unusually high. That foundation carried him into the startup world with Compass and then Toast, both fast-moving tech companies scaling at alarming rates. At Compass he grew from individual contributor to Helpdesk Manager over four years, learning what it takes to build something durable inside a company that's always changing. At Toast he took on large-scale rollouts — coordinating people, vendors, and moving parts across a company expanding at full speed. Each stop built on the last, and the through-line has always been the same: figure out what the team needs to succeed and then make it happen.
Chris is currently Director of Helpdesk Service at PGH Networks, where he leads a team of Support Technicians and IT professionals. Together they're bridging the gap between established systems and emerging technologies.
Chris holds a degree in Broadcast Production and Creative Writing from Loyola University in New Orleans. Outside of work he's a husband and father of two. He's an avid woodworker, a dedicated collector of physical media — records, CDs, movies — and since making Pittsburgh home, he's been working his way through the city's restaurants and antique stores whenever he gets the chance.
